A simple slip skirt is transformational to a woman’s wardrobe. Step out of your dull denim and slip into a stylish slip skirt instead. A printed slip skirt and a graphic t-shirt make a fun and easy casual outfit. Multipurpose a metallic slip skirt from my ageless capsule wardrobe for day or night. This street-style staple is guaranteed to put a skip in your step and make it a little more fun to get dressed.
Multipurpose Metallic Skirt
A metallic skirt is one of my favorite pieces from my new capsule wardrobe. It can be styled cool and casual or do double duty with heels and a blazer when you want to dress up. Here are 8 outfits from my 9 pieces wardrobe capsule that you can make with a metallic slip skirt. For these looks, I rotated between just two pairs of shoes and two styles of bag. For casual looks, I used sneakers. For some added interest I chose a snakeskin shoe. To complete each of these 8 street style outfits I used either a multipurpose belt bag or fresh white purse.

Printed Skirt

You might be surprised to see that you can also substitute a printed skirt for a metallic one in my easy to mix and match capsule wardrobe. A neutral animal print or pretty floral does a great job of distracting the eye from any lumps and bumps.

Never Cut Yourself in Half

Slip skirts can be tricky and sometimes look frumpy with flats. Remember, especially with a mid-length slip skirt, to keep your proportions balanced so you’re never 50/50. In this example, the second model is likely shorter than the first but looks so much better because she did a little front tuck.
