The Ultimate Shoe Pairing Guide for Fall Jeans Outfits: From Sneakers to Stilettos
If I could only wear one pair of jeans forever, it would be this one. Bold statement, I know, but after 25 years as a stylist—and 46 years as a woman and boy mama—I’ve tried them all. Today on Coffee in My Closet Live, I shared my favorite jeans and jeans and shoe formulas, including why baggy is back, how wide legs actually slim, and the uniform I love most: jeans + a white top. Think of it as fashion’s version of comfort food: always satisfying, never boring, and endlessly remixable.
THE ONE JEAN I’D WEAR FOREVER
My favorite jeans are from MOTHER. I love the stretch and the way they keep their shape. The style I had on today is new. They aren’t as expensive as MOTHER, but they have all the same fit measurements. Like MOTHER’s jeans, you can choose between two different ankle lengths: petite 26″ inseam and regular 29″ inseam. These jeans are 100% cotton. They are soft but not stretchy. I wear them when I want to look a little more casual or I’m going for a vintage-inspired denim look. The dark “artisan” wash I’m wearing also comes is a cool light blue and nearly back wash.
BAGGY JEANS ARE BACK

I’m officially making these my casual mom jeans for fall. They feel like sweatpants but look like jeans. They’re not too wide at the opening, and they go great with sneakers and socks.
THE NORDSTROM 6 PICK
From 5’2″to -5’9″, we all love a classic long, wide-leg jean. We are all crushing on this style from Paige, which comes in extended sizes, lots of colors, and fashionable details like patch pockets.
THE BEST JEANS WITH HEELS
If you worry that wide leg jeans make you look “wide” or your little legs get lost, try a classic pair of long bootcut jeans. They look great with heels. This is my favorite stretchy style from Fidelity.
