Refuse to Pack Boring | The best Accessories for Travel

Do you use travel as an excuse to buy new clothes? I do, but I just packed for two weeks in one of the biggest fashion capitols in the world without buying any new clothes. Instead, I added a few new travel accessories. Accessories don’t take up much room and make all your travel outfits more interesting.

Never Travel Without These 4 Accessories

1. Scarf

It doesn’t matter if its going to be hot or cold I always travel with a scarf. A large square is the most versatile because you can style it in so many ways. My travel looks include a high-low mix of brands. I’m taking a large neutral Gucci monogram scarf and a 29.5″ square navy blue Dior.

European Travel Capsule for Spring Lookbook Pages

A few pages from my European Travel Capsule Wardrobe for Spring lookbook that include a large square scarf. A large square scarf (55″ or longer) is the easiest to style as a top or sarong. I usually use the smaller (30″) silk squares for my neck or hair.

2. Belt Bag or Crossbody Bag

The idea is that your hands are free. Belt bags naturally have a more casual street-style vibe. If you’re taking a cruise or want a bag that will also work with dressier outfits at night, try a crossbody bag or wallet-on-a-chain with a removable shoulder strap.

3. Hat & Sunnies

My beauty routine usually takes a back seat when I travel, so I always have a stylish hat and sunglasses on hand to hide under.

4. Two-Tone Jewelry

This is an everyday essential for me but also the glue for all my travel outfits. Two-tone jewelry goes with everything and helps me feel confident when I mix metals in what I’m wearing, even if it’s the bold gold buttons on my blazer with a bold silver belt buckle.

Unique Fashion Accessories For Travel

Textured tights and a variety of socks add some fun and warmth to my outfits.

Here are the three most unique accessories I’m taking. They are all under $30 but work perfectly with my high-low ow mix of brands.

I sprinkled in some of my Celine accessories inspired by the Arc de Triomphe. I love that these Celine sunglasses come with this beautiful leather crossbody bag.
