Home for the Holiday | best loungewear brands and cozy outfits
I’m 45, and I finally own sweats I want to be seen in. When it comes to cozy outfits, I always recommend and wear a high-low mix of brands. I’m convinced buying quality loungewear is a luxury worth every penny. It’s tangible self-care that makes us look and feel good, even at home. These are the best loungewear brands and my favorite cozy outfits I make with them.
Frank & Eileen Loungewear
I’m a California girl, but that’s only part of the reason I’ve become such a big fan of Frank & Eileen. Frank and Eileen is a certified 100% woman-run company that will give over ten million dollars over the next 10 years to support women. Their pieces are made sustainably with high-quality materials here in California. I’m packing these four pieces for our family vacation to Palm Springs over the Thanksgiving break.
This is officially my favorite shirt dress. I’m wearing an xxs in black but, it comes in 16 colors including light and dark blue denim. Mary is 34.5″ long, but if you prefer a longer length try the Rory Maxi. Both are wardrobe staples. I’ll be wearing my Frank & Eileen dress as a swimsuit cover-up in Palm Springs, but I love that I can dress it up with a belt and boots for Thanksgiving dinner.
You have seen these pieces before. I shared a set in my Homebody Casual Capsule Wardrobe over the summer. The Malibu set I’m wearing is available in 15 colors, but the evergreen color is my favorite for fall. The short-sleeved capelet is a great option if you run warm, but it also looks good over a flannel, turtleneck, or fitted thermal. I’m going to wear mine over my new black Eamon joggers and Mary dress.
When you just want breathable 100% quality cotton, you want Frank & Eileen’s triple fleece separates You can wear them monochromatic or layered. The pullovers and caplets are oversized so I usually wear them over wide-leg crops or a fitted jogger. This Eamon cargo-style jogger is new and so cool. All 3 of my boys approve of this sporty outfit.
The Malibu set I’m wearing in Evergreen (above) comes with the Catherine sweatpants. My mom and I each made a set with them and the Anna pullover. My mom is wearing black, and I have the British Royal Navy. Look how pretty the sleeve detail is on this pullover and the way the shallow scoop will show a little of the layer you wear under it.
Quince Cashmere
I recently discovered Quince cashmere. I’m so impressed with the quality and the price! Their cashmere pants and matching sweaters are my new travel outfit for fall and winter. They are also part of my Travel Capsule Wardrobe for Fall.
I’m 5’4″ and wearing an XS in the heather grey straight-leg pants. They’re pretty long, but they’re sold in a jogger style with a cuffed ankle. This style will work if you’re petite. Both styles are high rise, so they can be rolled at the waist, which will shorten the waist, too.

Vuori Loungewear
Vuori’s signature buttery soft performance fabric is popular for men and women. It’s lightweight and perfect for warmer weather or if you like to layer with lightweight pieces. I have featured their leggings, joggers, hoodie, and tank top in my Chic Casual Capsule.
Vuori Hoodies
Their hoodies are the best layering pieces. The halo hoodie is my favorite for layering under a warmer layer. Their zip hoodie is a favorite for over tanks and tees. This winter they have a new long pullover style that would be great with leggings.
They just opened a Vuori store near me. These are my new favorite loungewear picks from Vuori. The aspen heather Halo leggings and matching hoodie I got are almost sold out.
Spanx Air Essentials
I don’t know why their underwear gets all the attention, but seriously Spanx’s Air Essential loungewear is the best! It doesn’t collect lint and keeps its color after washing. Lately, it’s been my haute mama uniform. Their 3/4 zip pullover is key in my Chic Casual Capsule.
